Road Art

Ya just never know what you’ll see at a Army surplus store. Went out to J&S Surplus in Moss Landing today. Just to look around, they’ve got some neat stuff. Plus a pretty good Biker Leather store.

This sculpture is a new addition. I suspect the artist is somewhere in the Santa Cruz mountains tending his ‘weed’ patch with a big ole’ shit-eating grin on his face.

Dave: It’s a two-seater. We’ll flip a coin to see who rides bitch.

AZHD: Was that a pun with the re-‘cycle’?

IHG: It would look great poking out of one of those cornfields.

That is a cool sculpture. Hey! I did a summer job in Moss Landing decades ago. My parents tried to teach me a lesson. I packed squid there for a summer and made big buck for my unruly self back then. What a joint is was. We lived in cabins by the packing and all the captains were really scarry back then. "Whitey" used to eat squid raw to scare the shit out of us. Fun memories now...not too fun back then.
Also, some of the best bike stuff comes from Army Surplus. Instead of paying $40 for HD bags... I go to Army Surplus and buy theirs. Much better quality and hold up forever. You can even wash them. Luv that place!
